Miscellaneous

Handoffs

  • Controllers may initiate a handoff with the next controller up to 100 miles from the handoff point. This is only to make the receiving controller aware of the aircraft well in advance, but is not obligated to accept the handoff early.

Simulation Rate

  • All aircraft shall be at 1X at the ZJX/ZDC boundary unless the next sector has approved otherwise.

ASRC Functions

  • Modify all datablocks to indicate /t, /r or /v as appropriate
  • Modify all flight strips to reflect the route
  • Clear all scratchpad and temporary altitudes prior to placing a handoff request

NORDO

  • Aircraft that you are not in communication with are pointed out PRIOR to crossing the appropriate ARTCC boundary
